The Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program is a state-government initiative that offers discounts and incentives on approved energy-efficient products. When you replace old, energy-hungry equipment with a qualifying high-efficiency system, the incentive is applied to reduce your upfront cost.

Upgrades that may qualify
The discount applies when you replace an older or inefficient system with an approved high-efficiency reverse cycle air conditioner. That includes swapping a whole-of-home ducted gas heater (the largest discounts, up to $10,000 off), a non-ducted room gas heater, old hard-wired electric or slab heating, or a cooling-only / ageing air conditioner. We’ll confirm exactly what your existing system qualifies for.

To qualify, the replacement must be an approved high-efficiency reverse cycle air conditioner (heating + cooling) with a minimum 5-year warranty, and any system being replaced must be more than 2 years old.
